Wooden Shadow
boxes and cases are a traditional gift given to retiring Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Service personnel.
The boxes often include an American Flag, and may also hold their weapon, Badges, Citations, and Photos. Engraved Plaques
are also an appropriate addition to cases given to retiring Officers and Fire Fighters.

the life of an officer from the Ohio State Patrol. The flag is 5x9 and center mounted in a cherry frame. The Gray

Special People I worked with an officer on the SWAT team in Ulrichsville, Ohio
to help create this retirement shadow box for their retiring Police Chief. The box contains his service revolver which
is inset into the box. I went to a local gun shop to find the Smith Wesson model 10 to create the cutout template. Other
patches and plaques commemorate a 45 year career. The officers of the Ulrichsville P.D. loved the way the box turned
out. They all signed the back of the case prior to presenting it to the chief at his retirement party.

This Cherry wood 16x24" box
contains a small collection of Police memorabilia. Shadow boxes like this are a nice way to consolidate and display collected
items that often end up in the closet. The engraved plaque and photo give the items some context in family history.
